Sheila Healy worked in the Executive Chamber under Mario Cuomo. As a Special Assistant to Governor Cuomo she briefed him on national and state issues of importance to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender New Yorkers. Before she interviewed with us for the documentary, she found an old memo from the governor that she says shows he was ahead of the curve when it came to same-sex marriage.
