Rabner calls for swift action to fill judicial vacancies

New Jersey Supreme Court Chief Justice Stuart Rabner at the annual state bar association meeting on Friday said a shortage of judges is leading to a massive backlog in the state’s legal system. Some court cases are taking three to five years to close, including divorces and personal injury cases. Even some criminal cases are held up.
