NJ track star Sydney McLaughlin breaks world record

On her way to qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics Sydney McLaughlin shattered the world record in the women’s 400 meter hurdles at the Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon on Sunday with a stunning 51.9 seconds. The 21-year-old Dunellen native and graduate of Union Catholic High School is the first woman to break the 52-second barrier for the event.
