30 POETS, 30 DAYS
“My Mother’s Lullaby” by Margaret Hasse
Clip: Special | 1m 42s
When Margaret Hasse taught writing in Blue Earth Public Schools in the fall of 1978 her first book of poems “Stars Above, Stars Below” had yet to be published. We recorded a poetry reading she did that fall which contained an early version of her poem “My Mother’s Lullaby.” Hasse has gone on to publish books of poems and her verse has been featured on Garrison Keillor’s “The Writer’s Almanac.”
