Poll finds drop in support for face masks, social distancing

A new national Monmouth University Poll, released Monday, gives a sense of where public opinion is on COVID-19-related safety restrictions, vaccine mandates and long-term responses to the pandemic. According to the poll, just 34% of the public supports instituting or reinstituting face masks and social distancing guidelines in their state at present -- down significantly from 52% in January.
