Diabetes in Oklahoma

Lawmakers try to raise awareness about the diabetes epidemic in Oklahoma. According to the Centers for Disease Control, about one in three Oklahomans is at risk for the disease, which can result in blindness, kidney failure, and even death. The Senate diabetes caucus is looking at possible legislation to promote prevention and help stem the rising tide of diabetes cases in Oklahoma.
