Heavy rains and strong winds are expected to soak the state on Christmas Eve. Utility crews on the lookout for power outages, but that’s no match for Santa’s sleigh. This year he’s also carrying a vital package: doses of both Moderna and Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccines. As of Wednesday morning the state Health Department reported nearly 28,000 first-round inoculations have been administered.
