New transitional shelter opens in Newark

Newark officials are celebrating the official opening of the Miller Street Pathways to Housing Center. The 24,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, which will serve as a shelter for residents who don't have a permanent address, has 166 beds. The facility also has a drop-in center for people who aren't ready to commit to shelter.
