Bella Vista: An Unseen View of WWII

Special | 28m 43s

Gourmet food. Weekend soccer tournaments. Summer camp? No, this was Bella Vista, a World War II internment camp at Fort Missoula, Montana and home to more than 1,000 Italian civilians. Seized eight months before Pearl Harbor, these men effectively became the United States' first-and no doubt luckiest-casualities of war.
