A push for NJ schools to teach AAPI history

Lawmakers are hoping that new legislation will help prevent bias attacks against Asian Americans in New Jersey. The Legislature recently passed a bill that would require schools to teach Asian American and Pacific Islander history to students in grades K-12. If signed, the bill would make New Jersey only the second state in the country to require these lessons, along with Illinois.
