On March 30, 2010, a perfect spring day in Austin, a cenotaph was unveiled at the Texas State Cemetery that was recorded by KLRU-TV. The marker is dedicated to the memory of the 52 African American representatives, senators, and constitutional convention delegates who were elected in Texas during Reconstruction. The 2 1/2 hour event has been condensed into an hour-long recording.
