Menendez wants IRS to give ‘more help, not more headaches’

The Internal Revenue Service is dealing with a massive backlog of tax returns due to COVID-19. Like most government agencies, the IRS went on lockdown for several months and pushed back the deadline for filing tax returns last year, creating the backlog. In an effort to reduce that wait time, Sen. Bob Menendez is urging the IRS to improve customer service during the tax filing season.
