Film and video shot in 1936, 1954, and the 1990s through 2002 shows changes in gold recovery methods at Homestake. The process once involved stamp mills and mercury amalgamation. It also involved cynadation from the early 1900s until Homestake Mine closed in 2002. Homestake Mine in Lead South Dakota is now the home of the Sanford Underground Research Facility.
