Counting costs of infections from injection drug-use in NJ

The New Jersey Harm Reduction Coalition Wednesday released a report detailing how a lack of harm reduction treatment is causing significant health disparities in communities, especially when it comes to injection-related infections. There were more than 7,000 hospitalizations for infections related to injection drug-use in New Jersey in 2019 and close to 300 people died, according to the report.
