Flight cancellations in Newark, worst marks by a US airport

Cancellations and delays are now being factored in as a routine part of travel for airline passengers. U.S. airlines already canceled more than 100,000 flights this year — and it’s not even hurricane season. Most of the issues are caused by the airlines themselves, according to industry experts, and include staffing shortages during the pandemic and rising demand for travel.
