Endangered right whale migration, threats along Jersey Shore

North Atlantic right whales are among the most endangered species on the planet. Less than 350 of the whales are believed to be left, according to the most recent estimates. And they can be found along the Jersey Shore, an area they pass through on their way from Canada to Florida and back each year. But that migration brings the whales in contact with one of their biggest threats: speeding ships.
