Rutgers team creates rapid test for omicron, other variants

A team at Rutgers University has developed a new rapid screening test for omicron and other coronavirus variants of concern. The test, which is up for clinical approval, could guide treatment of COVID-19 patients and detect potentially severe cases. Dr. Priya Banada, assistant professor of research at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, the project's leader, discusses the development of the test.
