Devastating storms are happening more often. Why?

Even with clear skies, the effects of the latest major storm to hit New Jersey are still being felt. Many rivers across the state were still reaching peak flood stage well into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. And the historic flooding caused by Tropical Storm Ida could get worse into Friday for some areas. So far, numbers show rainfall was heaviest in northern New Jersey.
