Newark needs a new, larger hospital, officials said Wednesday, one full year after the first COVID-19 surge peaked in New Jersey. COVID-19 still impacts hospital staff. Some keenly recall the first wave when many contracted COVID-19, and lost friends and co-workers to the virus. And they're watching with high anxiety as another COVID-19 surge builds.
