Jane Duey, World War II Army Nurse

Jane Duey began her nursing career in the Army on July 4, 1942. She shipped out with about 8,000 troops from San Francisco aboard the West Point headed for Bombay, India. She served as an Army nurse in the Calcutta hospital for over a year. She served in the Army for 26 years.
